Our impressive portfolio of multi-state media entities includes the following properties in WA:  KXLY TV (the ABC affiliate in Spokane, WA), KAPP TV and KVEW TV (the ABC affiliate in Yakima and TriCities, WA), Phase 3 Digital, KHTQ-FM – Rock 94 ½, KZZU – 92.9 ZZU, KXLY FM – 99.9 The Big Coyote Country, KEZE FM – Hot 96.9, KVNI – 92.5 Kootenai FM, KXLY AM 920 –100.7 FM, and KXLX – 700 ESPN 105.3 FM.

About this opportunity:

We are looking for an accounting professional that not only has proven success in an accounting position but also has exceptional communication skills, customer service skills, and will bring innovative ideas to the table to help us create internal efficiencies.

In addition to accounting duties such as accounts payables, payroll, billing, accounts receivable and day-to-day support of our operations, this position will work closely with the accounting staff in our ongoing system projects to ensure consistent and accurate work using our ever-evolving technology.   If you have 2+ years of general accounting, 2+ years of accounts payable experience, and possess exceptional multi-tasking skills, then we would like you to become part of our trusted team!

What you’ll do:

Accounts Payable/Cash Disbursement system:

·Process selected invoices including G/L coding and prepare checks for signature/mail to vendors

·Help enhance/evolve payable system as we add features and automate repetitive tasks

·Research issues, work with vendors, maintain filing system, ensure compliance with regulations

Payroll system:

·Help process bi-weekly payroll

·Work as a member of our payroll team to ensure 100% accuracy and confidentiality

Billing, Accounts Receivable & Cash Receipts system:

·Crosstrain on the revenue/billing/cash application cycle

General Accounting:

·Work closely with accounting staff to ensure consistency/accuracy

·Work on general accounting duties and special projects as assigned

·Assist with general admin duties as needed, front desk, mail, office supply ordering

What you’ll bring:

• Two years of general accounting department experience
• Two years of experience with Accounts Payable
• Strong bookkeeping skills, detail-oriented, and knowledge of accounting principles
• Strong computer literacy including Excel, Word, accounting systems and Adobe/document scanning
• Possess a customer service focus - internal and external customers
• Ability to be self-starting and work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Ability to be bonded and obtain Notary Public seal
