Job Description:	Staff Engineer \| KXLY Broadcast Group \| Spokane, WA About us: The KXLY Broadcast Group is a Morgan Murphy Media company. About this opportunity: We have an immediate full time opening for a Staff Engineer to be a part of ourtop-notch team of engineers dedicated to providing technical support to all KXLY Broadcast Group properties including: Television - KXLY 4.1 – ABC; KXLY 4.2 – MeTV; KXLY 4.3 – Heroes & Icons; KXLY 4.4 - Start TV, KXLY 4.5 – DABL, KXLY 4.6 – QVC and KXLY 4.7 – HSN, and Radio - 92.9 ZZU, Rock 94 ½, The Big Coyote Country, Hot 969, KXLY 920 AM and ESPN Radio 700. You’ll be working in the beautiful northwest, where you can enjoy a thriving city without the hour-long commute to work. Spokane is surrounded by beautiful scenery, lakes, and mountains. What you’ll do: Handle daily repairs for News, Production, Programming, Operations, G/A and Sales Assist with installation of computer hardware and software across all departments Assist with installation of digital video and audio hardware and software across all departments Assist with building maintenance, to the degree local codes allow Vehicle inventory and maintenance Help inventory station assets Set up live remote shots for TV News and Radio Assist with repair of RF transmitters, towers, and microwave equipment Other duties as assigned What you’ll bring: College Education or equivalent Proven ability to be accurate in work Advanced skills with Excel, Word, CAD, and other MS Windows applications Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports Valid driver’s license and clean driving and substance record Effective verbal and written communication skills BSEE College Degree or an ASEE College Degree with minimum five-year relevant experience preferred Working knowledge and understanding of digital broadcast technical systems preferred HVAC Maintenance and repair preferred Networking, IT, and video over IP experience preferred Society of Broadcast Engineers Certification preferred Physical Demands and Environment: Ability to respond to emergencies on a 24/7 basis including travel by air Ability to climb and lift heavy equipment safely Good color vision and binaural hearing Ability to work safely in inclement weather conditions
